Confluent Maidenhair Fern and Tunbridge Filmy-fern Giclee Print Set

The FERN print collection consists of 7 designs. Each design has a subtle gradient of colour that creates movement and depth. I have chosen ferns that are found in Ireland and hope to keep adding to the collection over time. There are so many different ferns in Ireland and with fantastic names like 'Atlantic Hybrid Shield-Fern' and 'Hay-scented Buckler fern' so it's a lovely project to work on.

The ‘Confluent Maidenhair Fern’ which is a small fern with notably overlapping pinnae which become fused in the upper part of the frond. A very rare hybrid, known wild once in Co. Kerry. Could be found almost anywhere in Ireland.

The Tunbridge Filmy-fern is occasional in the South-West and rare in other parts of Ireland but can be found in West Cork in Glengarriff Woods

These fine art prints are 5” x 7” in size and come with a 10" x 8" mount, backing board and wrapped in a presentation sleeve so are ready to frame and great to give as a gift.

Giclee is a high quality inkjet print created with professional grade machines and fine materials. Printed with pigment inks on archival paper, it is pronounced "zhee-clay" and is a noun deriving from the French verb gicler, which means "to spray". A giclee is the apex of digital printmaking.

The inks used are archival and depending on light conditions can last for up to 100 years. The mount is lignin-free, alkaline-sized, pH neutral and calcium carbonate buffered for enhanced durability and longevity. The backing board is alkaline-sized and ph neutral as well.

These open edition prints come titled and signed and come with a selection of Complimentary greeting cards.
