The Home Event by Cork Craft and Design is now open as part of Cork Craft Month. The exhibition hosts the work of 30 designer/makers from all over County Cork and is open every day (except Tuesdays) from 10am-6pm until 3rd September.

'An extra special craft event featuring an eclectic selection of work by Cork Craft & Designs members’. A haven of handmade items for the home, this event will include furniture, textiles, ceramics, woodturning and framed pieces to suit all budgets and tastes. This is your ideal opportunity to pick up a locally made item to enhance your home or an extra special gift for someone else’s home.'

'Flora' Exhibition at Uillinn- West Cork Arts Centre

A framed A3 giclee print of 'Lace Fern' in a limited edition of just 50 is part of the 'Flora' exhibition which runs at Uillinn for the whole Summer.

'Flora features artwork that explores the plant-life of Ireland. West Cork is renowned for both the beauty of its landscape and the wealth of artists residing here. The West Cork landscape is a common source of inspiration for artists, but for this exhibition we were seeking work that looked a little closer, to the plants and flowers that inhabit those landscapes and give them life.'

New Work- 'Lace Fern' Limited Edition Print

'Lace Fern' is inspired by the ferns that we see around West Cork and Ireland. 'The image is a fern illustrated in lace with tiny Irish wildflowers hidden throughout. Available in my webshop here

The print is also available from Doswell Gallery and the Glebe Gardens Shop.

'Flight Paths' print in the 'Just a Card Spring Shopping Guide'

I am honoured to be featured in the 'Just a Card' Spring Shopping Guide. For anyone that isn't familiar with the campaign, it aims to encourage people to buy from Designer/Makers and Independent Galleries and Shops by reinforcing the message that all purchases, however small, even 'just a card' are so vital to the prosperity and survival of small businesses.

You can see the full gift guide here and see the poster below to find out more about the campaign.

New Work- 'Nest' Limited Edition Print

Giclee prints of my newest design 'Nest' are now in stock. This design is from my new bird series and is inspired by love and family. I thought that I should put it up before the egg hatches! :)

New Work- 'The Baltimore Beacon' Limited Edition Print

My latest print for Summer 2017 celebrates 'The Baltimore Beacon' as it stands majestically against the blue sky on a summer's day. Baltimore is a little coastal village which lies near the very southern tip of Ireland. Combining my skills as a graphic designer and illustrator, this is a clean and graphic image with my trademark floral detail.

You can find the print in my shop here. A framed A3 version of the print can also be found at the current Uillinn- West Cork Arts Centre Member's Exhibition which runs until 27th May.

'Ireland in Bloom' Pocket Square on Dragon's Den

It was very exciting to see the 'Ireland in Bloom' pocket square that I collaborated on with Dublin brand Mr. Jenks on Dragon's Den last night as they pitched to the dragons!

You can find the pocket square on their website here

New Stockist- The Floral Fish, Cork City

What a beautiful photo of my tea towels by new stockist The Floral Fish. If you haven't been there yet, this boutique florist is located in the Market Parade in Cork City and stocks the most exquisite and unusual flowers. The lovely shop also stocks a selection of my greeting cards.

New Work- 'Flight Paths' Limited Edition Print

Giclee prints of my newest design 'Flight Paths' are now in stock. My latest design is inspired by the hypnotising murmurations of starlings that I see swirling around the sky here in West Cork.

You can find the print in my shop here

'Flowers by the Sea' Exhibition Press

My current solo show at The Puffin Cafe is mentioned in the latest House and Home magazine. The exhibition runs for just 3 more weeks.

The cafe is open every weekend- 12-9pm on Saturdays and 12-7pm on Sundays. On St. Patrick's weekend it will also be open from 12-5pm on Friday 17th and Monday 20th March.

'Flowers by the Sea' Solo Exhibition

Last Friday I set up my solo exhibition at the Puffin Cafe on Longstrand Beach, Castlefreke. The exhibition consists of some framed originals, prints, ceramics and textiles and the official opening is next Saturday 4th February from 6-8pm. A selection  of homemade pizza will be provided to give visitors a taste of the cafe's delicious menu which will also be available on the night. The following day I will be at the cafe from 2-4pm with my paper goods and homeware.

This will probably be the last time that I will be exhibiting my work before the baby arrives and I'm delighted to be exhibiting in such a stunning location. Here is a photo that I took on Friday morning- it was so beautiful.

Goodbye 2016, hello 2017!

Here are the most liked photos that I posted on my Instagram last year. It was a very busy year with collaborations with Dublin business Mr. Jenks and Cork ceramicist Luke Sisk, commissions, new products, new stockists and a baby on the way! There were times when it was overwhelming for just one person, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged my little business in any way. Every like, comment, share and purchase has meant so much to me. And a special thank you to my wonderful husband who makes every year better than the last. Happy New Year everyone, I can't wait to see what 2017 holds for us all.
